Windmill Planning Application

Windmill Hotel Planning Committee Meeting 7th. February
As most residents know this meeting will decide if James Hall Co. Ltd. (Spar) will get permission to demolish the Windmill Hotel and erect a petrol filling station and convenience store.
Over 400 residents objected to this happening, which is pretty convincing that we as a community do not want it to go ahead. LCC Highways have submitted their report, by saying that “LCC Highways has no objections to the application.” As a result of this decision the SRBC planning officer is very likely to recommend to the planning committee that they also approve this application.
However, they cannot ignore that over 400 hundred residents, along with all the local Parish Councils and our MP Nigel Evans, are all saying that we don’t want a garage and convenience store on this site. We are clearly telling SRBC that we do not want this planning application to be accepted. Our chances will be greatly improved if as many residents as possible can attend this meeting, to show our elected representatives that this application is not wanted in our community. It is essential that the allotted speaking places are kept clear so that expert planning and highway consultants, who have been engaged by Mr Master (The Shell Garage), can fully explain just why this application must be refused.
If at all possible please support us by turning up at The Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, PR25 1DH on February 7th. The meeting starts prompt at 6pm but we suggest you get there in plenty of time.
Please support our community.
